Mental Health Services in Mesa
In 2023, nearly 36% of adults in Arizona experienced symptoms of an anxiety and/or depressive disorder. That means for every three adults you know, one of them is likely managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, or both.
Additionally, 20% of American adolescents experienced at least one major depressive episode in 2021. Less than half of them received treatment – even among the 15% whose episodes severely impaired their life.
With statistics like these, it’s likely you know someone living with unpleasant, untreated mental health symptoms. Maybe it’s someone you love. Maybe it’s you.
Lifeline Behavioral Health can help. We work every day to change statistics like these for the better by providing community and quality counseling to Arizonans in need.

Why Choose Lifeline Behavioral Health
At Lifeline Behavioral Health, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where individuals of all ages and backgrounds can heal. When we say that, we mean it: we offer treatment for all ages, from zero to one hundred years old. Our team is well-qualified to encourage veterans who have experienced trauma, and walk alongside LGBTQIA+ individuals as they navigate their identity and the challenges that come with it. We offer care for those among us who have complex mental health conditions and are too often misunderstood, and for people who are afraid their concerns are too “minor” for them to seek help.
We want to bring behavioral healthcare and mesa mental health services to everyone, including individuals across Arizona who can’t make it to our counseling center in Mesa. That’s why we offer telehealth options, too.
Why Choose Lifeline Behavioral Health
Everyone is different. We all have unique experiences that work together and make us who we are. Because of that, some programs work for some people and not for others. We offer a variety of options because we want everyone who comes to Lifeline Behavioral Health for care to find the hope and encouragement they need.
Counseling is the most important aspect of all of our programs. Individual counseling and group counseling both have a role to play in overcoming any mental health concern. This is why we offer both, covering a variety of concepts. If your entire family needs to heal, family counseling is also available. Through counseling, you’ll learn to understand your thoughts and feelings and how to change them in positive ways. You’ll also find healthy ways to cope and learn skills to assist you in every area of life.
Our counseling starts as early as necessary. Some children face trauma before they can even speak, and our team can address it and help them heal before the hurtful events they’ve experienced take a toll on their mental health long term. We can also diagnose and treat conditions ADHD while children are still young. We have programs for children as they age, too, with different options for preteens, adolescents, and young adults alike. Youth will work alongside our therapists and like-minded peers to tackle the subjects most relevant to their age group, building community and promoting positive growth.
If you’ve been ordered to participate in classes or counseling by a court, we can help you, too. We work with local courts to make sure we provide the services they require. This includes substance use counseling, anger management classes, and more. We’re dedicated to creating a space where everyone can heal and grow without judgment.
Our therapy groups focus on different topics, and you have a variety to choose from! We have unique groups for adults covering cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), women’s wellness, men’s manspeak, maintaining long-term recovery from substance use, parenting, veterans’ and first responders’ challenges, and health anxiety. Adolescents have their own groups, including a DBT group, teen empowerment group, cognitive skills group, and general mental health group.
A Look at Our Program Options
Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is an option for both teens and adults at Lifeline Behavioral Health. Those in IOP will choose three of our therapy groups, and attend those groups and an individual therapy session weekly. IOP usually lasts four or eight weeks, but this timeline isn’t set in stone. It’s most important to us that you receive all the support you need, and we’ll work with you as long as you need us.
We also have a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for anyone seeking structured, intensive treatment. PHP requires you to spend most of your day with us, participating in counseling and other therapeutic interventions. You’ll return home at night. If being away from home would benefit you, we also offer onsite housing for those in our PHP. All of our PHP is carefully tailored to each client, ensuring you receive the comprehensive, compassionate care you deserve.
